What this covers
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of working with you, why we hold it, and what you can do about it.
DJX Labs is the data controller. Our contact details are at the end of this page.
What we collect
When you contact us or book a call: your name, email address, organisation, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project.
When you browse: standard technical data — IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived. This is collected in aggregate to understand which parts of the site are useful.
We do not ask for, and do not want, special category data. Please do not send it to us.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, once we are working together, performance of a contract.
To improve this site and understand which blocks people are looking for. The lawful basis is legitimate interest, balanced against a light analytics footprint.
To meet legal and accounting obligations where we have done paid work for you.
Visitor data in deployed blocks
Weave blocks installed in your space may count visitors, log interactions, or capture dwell time. By default this is anonymous and aggregated — no faces, no names, no device identifiers retained.
Where a block does handle identifiable data, that is specified in your project agreement, and you are the data controller for it. We act as processor on your instructions.
We will tell you at proposal stage if a block you have chosen carries any data implications worth flagging.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us operate: hosting, email, analytics, and scheduling. Each is bound by contract to handle data only on our instructions.
Others within the Jalebi Collective where a project spans more than one team, and only to the extent needed.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects: [PERIOD], then deleted.
Project records: for the life of the engagement plus the retention period our accounting and legal obligations require.
Analytics data: held in aggregate, with individual records expiring after [PERIOD].
Cookies
This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function, and analytics cookies that help us understand usage.
You can refuse non-essential cookies without losing access to anything on the site. Your browser settings will also let you block or delete cookies at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it.
Write to [PRIVACY EMAIL] and we will respond within [PERIOD].
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to [SUPERVISORY AUTHORITY].
Transfers and security
Some of our providers operate outside [JURISDICTION]. Where data moves, we rely on the safeguards required by law.
We keep access to personal data limited to the people who need it, and we review that access periodically.
